Hello everyone! I am Norma Maldonado and I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. Yes, it’s ten minutes away from South Padre Island! I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 from Stephen F. Austin University. Go, Lumberjacks! I live in McKinney, Texas, with my husband and three children. I enjoy the beach, a great book, and my family. I have worked for MISD for the past 20 years and I’m very excited to call Burks my home. I look forward to a wonderful school year. Go, Eagles!!

My name is Deirdre Davis. I was born in Virginia, and I have spent the past 20 years living in Texas. I have been teaching in McKinney for the past 14 years. Some of my favorite things to do are traveling, meeting new people, and trying foods from different parts of the world. Hello! My name is Mary Mansfield I am originally from Maryland, but have lived in Texas for the past 20+ years. This will be my fourth year with my Burks' family! I live in Friso with my husband and our dog Boo (our third “child” ). I have two children: one just finished college and one is at Texas Tech. I love to read, play games, and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!

Hi Burks Eagles! My name is Monique Siracuse and I am very excited for the opportunity to serve as an instructional coach at Burks! I grew up in California and graduated from UCLA in 2000. In 2005, my previous career relocated me and my husband to McKinney, Texas. I stayed home with my two kids for several years before pursuing my dream career in education. In 2020, I obtained my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I have experience teaching preschool, fourth, and fifth grades. During my free time, I love to watch my kids play their favorite sports and travel with my family. I am excited for this upcoming year at Burks!
