• Please remember that your child needs to be fever free (without medication) for 24 hours before he/she can return to school.

• If your child is ever absent, please send a doctor’s or parent note the following day.

Burks Guidelines

1. If a parent visits during lunch they are invited to eat at the parent table with their child. We do not allow friends to join due to several safety concerns.

2. Students can share party type favors (pencils, trinkets, etc.) for birthdays, however, food items are not passed out due to safety policies for our school.

3. If party invitations are sent to school they can only be passed out to all girls or all boys in the class. If the student is only inviting a few students they need to pass those out after school hours.

4. If a delivery is made such as flowers, balloons, etc. they can be left in the office and we will call students down to view them and they will pick them up at dismissal. We do not permit helium balloons throughout the building (special situations such as end of year celebrations will be decided by staff at those times).

5. We only have two class parties each year and we are limited on food items. Teams will send home guidelines about parties that may include food as they approach.  We have a winter party and end of year party. We do have Valentine craft parties but those parties do not include food.

Please help your child learn their student number.  This is used for buying lunch, signing onto the computers and more!  Thank you for your support!
